Well spacing is standard and is compatible with most automated processing systems and microscopes. Large, raised alpha-numeric coordinates make well identification easy. The wells are inverted truncated cones with a working volume of 10µl. A unique surface treatment is applied to each well to maximize sample and reagent mixing. The surface has a limited affinity to antibodies, ensuring a high concentration of antibody remains in the liquid. This is particularly important when antigens are typed with monoclonal antibodies.
